Overview

Besides using CDCM to share configurations between Tools you can also link to artifacts (configuration items) which are stored in CDCM leveraging the OSLC standard and any OSLC Adapter which is capable of linking GC Items. CDCM offers a Configuration Picker as well as an Delegated UI for any Configration Item to support the OSLC Standard.

Example usage in Confluence (Datacenter)

With the OSLC Connector for Confluence developed by MID you are able to link to OSLC artifacts from in your Confluence pages.

Starting with version 6.0.5 we are supporting offical to link to Global Configuration Items.

For the steps to configure your confluence you need an confluence user with administration rights.

You can install the OSLC Connector for Confluence throught the Atlassian Marketplace:

Step 1: define a CDCM Rootservice in Confluence:

manage Apps → OSLC Connector for Confluence → Friends Maagment → Add Root Service Configuration

Step 2: go to a Confluence page and add an OSLC link Macro

edit Page → + Icon → other macros → OSLC Link → add

you can display your link either as hoverable link or as embedded link which shows up as soon as the side is loaded

Step3: link from OSLC Link macro to CDCM Configuration

click on OSLC Link → Insert OSLC Link

Step4: you are now able to see you link to CDCM if you update your page
