Features

Reference master data tables in master data tables

It is now possible to have nested master data. This means the data type of a master data column can be of type “master data” and the cells in this column reference individual rows of another master data table.

The basic usage looks like this:

  • create a column with data type “master data”

    • select the table that should be referenced

    • configure a mask - this determines the format of the values coming from the referenced master data table

  • when inputting the a value for this column a picker opens to select the correct row of the referenced master data table

Caveat: The functionality described above works for nesting one masterdata row into the cell of another master data table. Deeper nesting is not supported at the moment. In cases of deeper nesting only the stored row key is displayed and not the values from the referenced row.
