Each Configuration Area can encompass multiple components units and serves as a container for organizing related configuration management activities. Associated Unit Types (optional)
This list determines , which Unit Types are allowed for Units within this Configuration Area. See Concepts Concept Types for more information about Concept Types.

Determines which Templates can be used for concepts within this unit. If a concept is a template can be determined by its type. See Template useUse and Templates (Administration) .
Storage Locations (optional)
Assign Storage Locations that can be used for Configuration Items within this Configuration Areas. See Storage Locations
Title (mandatory)
Displayed title/name of this Configuration Area.
Key (mandatory)
Assign as a key for indentification unique identifier for the Configuration Area. The key must contain only alpha-numeric character aswell as '-' and '_'.
Confidential (optional)
Set Configuration Area as confidential. This requires special permissions to be able to read this area. For more details see Roles and Permissions Management at chapter Access to Content.
Concept Type (mandatory)
Assign a Concept Type for this Configuration Area. See Concepts Concept Types .
