Deletion of units and configurations

Deletion of units and configurations is now possible under certain conditions. The general rule for deletion is that a unit or configuration can only be deleted if it is not in use or referenced, or in other words if the deletion has no impact outside of the removal of the object itself.

This means configurations can be deleted if:

  • the configuration has no child configuration items

  • the configuration is not referenced in a configuration item

  • the configuration has no derivations

  • the configuration is not used as a template

A unit can deleted if:

  • the unit has no child configurations

  • the unit is not associated as a template unit in a configuration area
