Preparing for the deployment of Smartfacts

There are two variants of Smartfacts:

  1. The PoC deployment: In PoC scenarios we provide an openLDAP integrated with Smartfacts. Users are added to the Smartfacts PoC instance via openLDAP. There is no option to directly link to an Enterprise LDAP.
    We strongly recommend to deploy Smartfacst on Kubernetes. PoCs will ONLY be supported by MID based on Kubernetes:

    1. Deployment on Kubernetes with Internet Connection: LINK

    2. Deployment on Kubernetes without Internet Connection: LINK

  2. The regular on-premises deployment: If you are using Smartfacts in a production environment, then Smartfacts allows to directly connect to your Enterprise LDAP and synchronize groups of users to the CAMP and your Smartfacts instance.

  3. MID also offeres a cloud version of Smartfacts

The technical factsheet provides the components used by Smartfacts.

The Smartfacts OpenAPI allows to use the layer of REST services to access Smartfacts directly from 3rd party applications.
