CAMEO/MAGIC DRAW 21 JXBrowser Libraries Update

The JXBrowser libraries shipped with CAMEO21/MagicDraw21 have some issues, which causes in some operations to crash the web browser window.

There are two ways how to enable CAMEO to use the newer jxbrowser libraries.

Prerequisites

1. The Smartfacts Plugin for CAMEO/MagicDraw is already installed.

2. All instances of CAMEO are shut down on the machine.

A)

Completely replace the original jxbrowser files with the new ones

1. Stop any running CAMEO/MagicDraw instance.

2. Goto your CAMEO.Installdir/lib folder, e.g. C:\Program Files\CMS21\lib

3. Create a folder names jxbrowser.old

4. Move all files named jxbrowser to the folder (they have the version 7.13)
   

   

5. Copy the new jxbrowser files from the smartfacts installation to the lib folder

   Goto the cameo plugin directory, and locate there the folder com.smartfacts\java\smartfacts\lib
   

   

   e.g. C:\Program Files\CMS21\plugins\com.smartfacts\java\smartfacts\lib

   Mark and Copy here all the files named jxbrowser ( they have the version 7.18)

6. Go back to the CAMEO\lib folder, and paste the files here.

7. Start CAMEO

Alternatively, the classpath of CAMEO can be manipulated that way, that is uses the new JXBrowser library files with priority.

1. Follow steps A.1, A.6 and A.7

2. Open the CAMEO configuration file csm.properties/md.properties in CAMEO.Installdir\bin\

Search for the line with the key CLASSPATH

Add at the first place the additional library specification “lib/jx718/*.jar”, so it looks like the yellow marked text:

3. Start CAMEO.
