Finding the Right Content

My Content enables you to identify Smartfacts artifacts via various ways. Smartfacts artifacts may be any type of Smartfacts content, such as diagrams, model elements, baselines, references to requirement packages, files, analyses, etc. The following mechanisms are available for identifying content:

  • Favorites - your personal list of favorites

  • Search - search and filter across the selected project and independent of model format

  • Navigate - expand the project tree, select a version of a model, drill into the model version and select artifacts

  • Version Diff - compare two versions of a model, diagram or model element and select your Smartfacts artifact from the list of differences

  • History - select from previously-opened artifacts

The selected area at the bottom of the form shows the currently-selected content, including the name, version and model where the content is located, as well as a globally valid breadcrumb. You may change the version of the selected artifact here.

You may combine multiple ways (search, navigate, analyze etc.) to identify Smartfacts artifacts. You may start with selecting an item from the favorites list and then click into a segment of the breadcrumb in the selected area to open the project tree and continue to navigate in the tree and select an artifact there.

The preview area on the right side of the form shows diagram, model element and model meta data. The expand button < allows you to expand a floating container with details of the previewed diagram or model element.
