Understanding the Integration

Smartfacts CDCM integrates with Jama Connect by referencing local configurations as external work products. These configurations can be:

Versions: Configurations that may be updated over time.
Baselines: Fixed configurations that remain unchanged.

The integration is enabled via the OSLC Connector for Jama Connect developed by MID, ensuring compatibility with OSLC standards.

Steps to Add a Connection to Jama Connect

To connect Smartfacts CDCM to a Jama Connect instance, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Administration Panel:
- Open Administration > Storage Location in Smartfacts CDCM.
Add a New Storage Location:
- Click the + Add Storage Location button.
Select the Storage Type:
- Choose OSLC Configuration Provider from the available options.
Enter the Root Service URI:
- Provide the root service URI of the Jama Connect connector.
Automatic Retrieval of Connector Name:
- After entering the root service URI, the system will automatically retrieve and display the name of the connector.
Verify the Connection:
- The newly added storage location will appear in the list of storage locations.
- You can now select OSLC Connector for Jama Connect as the target when adding a Jama Connect local configuration as a configuration item.
