Switching the Model Warehouse

A Model Warehouse is a distinct instance of Smartfacts. Most users will have access to only one Model Warehouse. In this case, there is no choice as to which one to work in.

A Model Warehouse is a substantial logical unit of content. It can carry hundreds of models and versions and many millions of model elements. It is recommend that you keep the number of Model Warehouses small. In many cases one Model Warehouse is enough.

If you have access to multiple Model Warehouses, the main menu allows you to select and activate a Model Warehouse from the drop-down. Selecting a Model Warehouse closes all content currently loaded and opens a new clean Model Warehouse with an empty split view.

Within a Model Warehouse there might be multiple projects. Projects allow you to show content to a certain group of users. All collaboration content, such as chats reviews, comments etc. are project-specific. They only exist in the project they have been generated in.

Links can only link artifacts of one Model Warehouse. Also, analyses can only be run across one Model Warehouse.
