Schema Harvester

The schema harvester allows to define the connectivity to an SQL data base. Supported databases are Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle SQL Server.

Open the list of database schemas to be synchronized via the main menu > Schema Harvester. Add harvesting definitions via the + button or edit the definitions by selecting an entry. The harvested databases, their schemas, entities, columns and column properties are published to the model warehouse. They can be added to your project via the + button on the CONTENT tab of My Project.

You can expand the hierarchy of databases, schemas, tables, columns and column properties in the project tree and drag & drop any element of the hierarchy into the split view. When you open a database schema in the split view, a diagram of all tables including their foreign key relationships will be generated.
